Social reporting from AdWeek NYC

It's in their role as social reporters of the Association des Agences de Publicité du Québec (AAPQ), embedded in a 50-strong delegation of Québec admen and women under the montreal.ad banner, that f. & co’s co-founders arrived this morning in the world’s advertising capital, New York City, to take part in the most important event in the industry: Advertising Week

For a week starting September 23, our mandate is to be looking for the latest trends in talent management, the changing roles of CMOs and CTOs, advertiser-agency relations, corporate storytelling, client experience and branded content, etc.

With over 100 conferences in four days, senior representatives of cutting edge companies in a variety of domains, including many media organizations like Buzzfeed, Google, Fast Company, the Guardian, Wired and Mashable, there are promising times ahead.

Of course, the largest global agencies play a central role in shaping the discourse of evolving trends. They’re at the forefront of the programming and sponsorship, but this certainly doesn’t keep Canadian firms like SidLee, Taxi, Float4 and Boogie Studio to take their share of the limelight of Advertising Week, on or off the program, in any shape or form.

We set foot in New York for the first time in the context of an official mandate. We’ll aim for the essential, here first. Follow us on blog.fandco.ca, in the Infopresse newsletter, and on Twitter with the #AWX and #RDVAdweek hashtags.
