Co-creation, from Danemark to Finland

f. & co co-founders submitted today an abstract for their first scientitfic paper written collectively. It was part of a call for papers for the CO-CREATE 2013 conference, organized by Aalto University and its Enterprise Simulation Laboratory (SimLab), which will be held in Helsinki, Finland, on June 16 to 19.

While the summer solstice should be good enough a reason to visit the nordic region, the four themes around which the conference is organized promise to provide vast quantities of inspiration for brains wired to appreciate all things "co". From the theoretical foundations of collaborative innovation processes to the spaces, methods and tools developed to foster co-creation and co-design, a lot of light will be shed on this rapidly-expanding research area.

While the anonymous selection process that guarantees the neutrality of paper selection prohibits us of sharing with you the nature of our submission, let's just say that it involves some iconic little bricks…

At f. & co, we deeply believe in using games and a playful atmosphere to help people think differently about their organization's every day challenges. That's why you will often see us start a day of transformative workshops with a few packs of LEGO Serious PlayTM. Because nothing throws everyone back into a naive, unregimented state of mind faster and as efficiently as the challenge of creating, out of a shapeless mound of those colourful bricks, a compelling story that may well shape the future of one's business!
